Just a short walk from Funäsdalsberget and the Kåvan guest center with 5 lifts and 16 runs is our newly built modern mountain cabin Ormruet. The Kåvan guest center has both a restaurant, barbecue areas, a slalom slope with a chairlift, a children's slope and the funäsdal park with jumps and rails. There are also cross-country trails, snowmobile trails and the awesome Kåvanfallet, which is well suited for ice climbing in the winter. Ramundberget, Tänndalen, Kappruet and Tännäs ski facilities are also located in the immediate area, so you never have to ski the same slope twice if you want variety. The area also offers 610 km of snowmobile trails, 300 km of cross-country skiing tracks, summit tours, fishing and so much more. In the summer, there are mtb trails that you can climb on outside the door. There is also downhill cycling and bike parks just 20 minutes away by car. (Ramundberget and Tänndalen) Or why not try a Via Ferrata up Funäsdalsberget? The river Ljusnan is close by and it is nice both to walk along the watercourse and to paddle or swim there. Nice hikes are everywhere as the mountain area around Funäsdalen is large and easily accessible.

Hiking trails – Många vackra vandringsleder i fjällnatur, kalfjäll, i området. Gondolen upp på Funäsdalsberget är bara 15 min promenad bort.
Minigolf – Funäsdalens camping 5-10 min promenad har minigolf
Outdoor swimming facilities (beach) – Funäsdalssjön har flera badplatser. Vi brukar bada i Ljusnan 10 min promenad från huset.
Playground – Finns lekplats i byn vid Risnäset eller i Tännäs nära fiskecentrum.
Rafting – Företaget strapatser anordnar
Riding – Åsens Islandshästar och Fjällpilens islandshästar
Snowmobile driving – En mängd företag hyr ut snöskoter i området. Lederna går nära huset så det är inga problem att utgå härifrån om man vill.
Tennis – Finns tennisbana vid Risnäset, padel i Funäsdalens by och i Ljusnedal.
